Ever since I can remember, going places and seeing new sights has intrigued me. A robin drinking from a puddle after a springtime Paris shower., the food vendors with their dim-sum carts in Hong Kong; the smell of wood shavings as I walk down the “Street of the Carpenters” in Rome all fill my memory bank and also provide material for my articles. For I not only love to travel. It’s also a great joy to share my discoveries with others.
Bargains are an especially important part of that sharing, for I have found that many of the best things in the traveler’s life are free – or at least low-cost. When more than a little money is involved, my definition of a bargain is “more than the usual value for the amount of money spent."
Travel time is important to most travelers, too. We want to get the most enjoyment and/or information out of every minute. I have found that at almost every destination I have visited, there are shortcuts you can take/methods you can use to avoid wasting time, without diminishing the destination’s value.
Some of my articles are about traditional destinations and traditional attractions. Others explore places you may not have thought of and off-the-beaten-tourist-path experiences. I look forward to sharing them with you.
My books include:
Top Ten Travel Guide – Las Vegas, Dorling Kindersley
Family Fun Guide to Paris, Kensington Publishing
Cheapskates’s Guide to Branson, Missouri, Kensington Publishing
